Once you've secured your first products, you can begin listing them. When it comes to Amazon, you won't be making brand new listings similar to eBay/Mercari/Facebook. Instead, you'll find the existing listing on Amazon that matches your item, and you'll add your inventory to that. If you've already added the product to your inventory, skip ahead.
Head to https://www.amazon.com/ to get started. From here, find your product by typing the name into the search bar:
Look through the catalog and find the product that best matches yours. You can use tools like SellerAmp to help determine the best listing for you to use. Once you've found the right product, copy the ASIN. The ASIN is generally 10 letters/digits, and can be found in various places on the page, including the URL:
Once you've got the ASIN, head on over to the Product Search page, and enter your ASIN into the search bar:
Confirm the item is correct, select your item condition (New), then click "Sell this product".
First, make sure to enable all attributes on the left-hand side of the screen:
There are a few key fields, and they've been highlighted below:
Fill out your price, quantity, and the item condition. Lastly, select "Amazon will ship and provide customer service" for FBA.
Your ready for the next step. Click Save and finish
Now that we've added the ASIN to our catalog, we can prepare our box of products to send off.
First, you'll see the Barcode settings:
In order to avoid complications, we recommend choosing "Print and apply Amazon barcodes myself". Doing this is more reliable as it puts you in control of the labelling process, and avoids any potential mistakes from Amazon workers.
❗For barcode labels, a thermal printer is recommended. See Shipping Supplies for more information.
Next, make sure to press "List as FBA and send to Amazon":
Now we need to select the category for our items, click "Prep and labeling details needed"
From here we'll tell Amazon the category our product falls under, so they can best assess how you should ship it.
Click save once you've made your selection.
Next, select who handles the prepping process. Amazon does of course charge to prep/label themselves, and it's recommended you prep to save on fees.
It's recommended to buy polybags in bulk, you can find more info on that in the Shipping Supplies section.
Next list how many units you plan to ship to Amazon, and if the item requires it, provide an expiration. You'll then be ready to proceed. Click confirm and continue.
Once that saves, a new prompt should appear to print your SKU labels:
Provide your printer type, as well as your label printing format. Each label is exactly the same, so you can decide to print 1 to test, then print as many as you need for your inventory.
❓Reach out to our team if you need help with this.
Once you've printed your labels, you'll need to place one on each item's packaging individually. If you have 50 pairs of socks, you'll need a sticker for each pair.
It's time for the details of the box you plan to ship your items in. Let Amazon know how many boxes it's going to require; just one, or multiple, then hit confirm:
Next provide the box dimensions and box weight. It is recommended to be as precise as possible with this.
Afterwards, hit confirm until you reach this page:
Provide the date you plan to ship your item, and review your shipping carrier. UPS x Amazon Partnered is one of the cheapest shipping options in the world, and you likely will not want to try any other options. Review your total shipping costs in the bottom right corner of your screen, then hit "Accept charges and confirm shipping"
Once you've confirmed shipping, you can begin printing your shipping box label, as well as the Amazon label associated. Ensure your box is prepared like so to avoid issues:
That's it! You can begin prepping your inventory, placing labels on them, and putting them in your box. Amazon is partnered with UPS, so you'll drop off your package with them directly.
When preparing your box, ensure the stickers
FBA Arrival time varies depending on where you live, but generally ranges from 1-4 weeks. Check to see which warehouse your items are going for an estimation.
