Sourcing Tips

SOURCING TIPS

  1. Check Restrictions NEW products ONLY

  2. Check Sales Rank Top 1% IN GENERAL OR Top 150k BSR IF top 1% is over 150k

i.e. Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry has 161,000,000 products top 1% is 1,600,000 THIS IS TOO HIGH 150k is your cap

3. Check $ Value Profit Must be $10 or more

4. Check ROI Must be OVER 25%

Note: ROI may be as low as 17% ONLY IF $ Value Profit is MINIMUM $20

5. Check 30 Day Sales 30 day sales needs to be at least 45

Check Keepa

6. Look for consistent sales ticks

7. Price History Past 3 Months 10% Minimum ROI

8. Check Number of Sellers

150k Rank -- Less than 5 sellers

100k Rank -- Less than 10 sellers

50k Rank -- Less than 15 sellers

10k Rank -- Less than 20 sellers

1k Rank -- Less than 60 sellers

100 rank -- Less than 120 sellers

Go to Check Data Tab

9. Product Details Sub Tab Amazon OOS LESS THAN 50%

10. Buy Box Statistics Tab Amazon BB LESS THAN 50%

Go to Variations Tab (If Available)

11. Check Variation Ranking By Rating

If LESS than 10 color variations Product must have within 30% of the ratings as the top rated product

example. If an ASIN has variations, and the top ranked Variation has 100 ratings, the product you are looking to buy should not have less than 30 ratings.

If MORE than 10 color variations Product must have within 50% of the ratings as the top rated product

example. If an ASIN has variations, and the top ranked Variation has 100 ratings, the product you are looking to buy should not have less than 50 ratings.

NOTE: Always remember that past average past price matters more than current price

Example photo below: This is NOT $150 just because price jumped up there suddenly

notice how the price dropped back down to $98 from $150.

There was NO good expectation for the price to stay at $150, and this is a RISK that I do NOT want.

Be AWARE when you see price decreasing with sellers increasing

This often leads to even LOWER prices, and loss of profit. More RISK.

Note: MAKE SURE that the QUANTITY of product matches.

Some Amazon listings are for multiple, where in the past you've sent me a purchase link for a single unit.

MAKE SURE that the GENDER matches

In the past you've sent me an Amazon listing for MEN's shoes, with a Purchase link for WOMENS.

Note:

Rule 11 on Keepa Variations

This has 33 color Variations. So it would fall under the 50% rule

Below has 3 color Variations. So it would fall under the 30% rule
