Graphs we like:
As you can see from September 16 to December the Buy Box price (pink line) is very very consistent. It is almost a perfectly straight line for over 3 months representing very minimal price fluctuations.
The BB price is starting to increase again starting around November 23rd which is a very good sign
The offer count is decreasing consistently over time. This is a great sign and shows that sellers are selling out of the item. Conclusion: With all 3 of these factors, this item would be a very strong buy. The price of the item is increasing as the offer count is decreasing. You will likely be able to sell an item like this at 10% higher than what the BB is currently showing due to the amount of decreasing offers.
An increasing review count is a great indication that a product is selling well. For every review, you can assume that around 100 sales or more are occurring. This is also a great indicator of how fast items are selling which is extremely important in this business Conclusion: If the other indicators look good (price is consistent, no huge offer count increases), then this is a buy.
Price here is overall very consistent over last 3 months. There is an increase in offers trending upward at the end of the graph to be weary of. Conclusion: For an example like this, I would test buy a few units to see if the price holds and if the item sells well. If offer counts start to drop off, I would buy more units.
Graphs To Avoid:
The BB price is starting to significantly decrease starting around June 8th. It is likely that the BB is decreasing due to an increase in offer count
Offer count is rising dramatically and the decreasing price is reflective of this (blue line) Conclusion: This item is likely to tank and is not worth investing in.
Amazon is on the listing 100% of the time in the last 3 months (beige fill). Conclusion: It will likely be very difficult to get any sales on this listing as amazon is always on it. For a listing like this, check the buy box statistics and see how often amazon is winning the buy box. I personally avoid listings where amazon is winning the buy box more than 50% of the time. Check to see if other sellers are still getting sales (Find this info in the keepa offer tab). If they are then it is safe to sell on.
There is only one seller on the listing in the last 3 months, indicating that this is a private label item and only 1 seller (likely the brand itself) is the only authorized seller of the item. Conclusion: Avoid. This will result directly in an IP violation or a cease and desist letter.
In the red circle, you will see the offer count have a steep drop-off from 13 offers to less than 5. It is not “stair-case” like the rest of the graph. Conclusion: Avoid. This is a clear indicator of an IP complaint.
